My Febraury Favourites

Hello beautiful

Welcome to my monthly favourites. I always come across things that just make my heart happy and i’d like to share them with you. This is not a review post, it’s just a quick intro on products/services that I have come across in the month and where you can find them. My aim is not only to share them with you but at the same time help to uplift and recognise all these local (and some international) businesses working hard to make a name for themselves.

So lets get into it…

Heartstuff

Recently, while browsing through pinterest, I came across this scalloped sequined mermaid inspired skirt, which I instantly fell in love with.

Picture from Pinterest

I happen to send it over to my bestie Melissa Kate raging at how gorgeous it was and then just a few days later, she sent me a very similar design from a local company.

Initially it was sold out, but then a few weeks later, I happen to see it online, in my size, so I immediately whipped out my credit card and made my purchase. Heartstuff is a local (Durban- based) online store. Unfortunately no physical store and no collection options, but they do have days where they give you free shipping. Otherwise expect to pay a flat rate of R50. Although they are a bit pricy, their products are stunningly beautiful. My purchase arrived the day after I placed my order and I’m super happy with it.

You can shop  online at www.heartstuff.co.za and you can also find them on Facebook and Instagram

Swiitchbeauty

With over 30 000 likes on instagram, this local company, founded by a 16 year old (I kid you not), is seriously creating a name for themselves in the beauty industry. I recently purchased the glowglasm palette.

When I initially spotted this product, it hadn’t yet released, swiitchbeauty just kept teasing all us babes, but when it was finally available on preorder, I swear I was one of the first people to make my purchase. I actually remember messaging them frantically because when the news hit and I went online, I couldn’t find the product. Hmmm…obessed much. If you have never orderd from this company before, I must tell you, that their communication is so unique. If you have ordered before, they you know what I mean. 5 stars for customer service. These beauties are so beautiful and so highly pigmented. It’s one of my favourite beauty buys [Keep a lookout for a blog review on it]. Swiitchbeauty also sells beauty tools and best news ever, they recently did away with delivery fees. That’s correct…Free Delivery. Did I not just make you day.

Fitbit

So, I love being fit and healthy. Some people feel that it’s a chore but I honestly love being good to my mind and body. One of the ways I have tried to improve fitness in 2017 is with my fitbit. I waited so patiently for the limited edition fitbit charge 2 to launch in S.A and boy did it take long. I eventually asked my sister in the uk to get it for me. I swear when she landed on Christmas day, I was jumping up and down in pure eagerness to see my fitbit. Sorry sis, but I mean seriously how beautiful is this lavender and rose gold one. I will be doing a full review on this one soon. Am totally loving it, I actually walk much more and even work out more often because of it. I did recently see it in sportmanswarehouse

Crossover

Last year, I did a trial day with Crossover. They are based at Moses Mabhida and offer pilates , kettle bell, HITT and Led Crossfit classes. I only did the kettle bell class and although I had the full intention of going back to try out the other classes, work and life got the better of me. However, they made such an impact on me, that I thought they deserved a mention on my Feb favs. It’s a very intimate setting and at first, I did feel abit out of place, but the staff there were so friendly and helpful. The changerooms were clean and spacious and the instructor for the kettlebell class was amazing and attentive with each and everyone of her students, first time and regulars. I learnt quite a bit in that class. The best part of crossover is that there is no once off sign up fees and no monthly costs. You simple purchase coupons and redeem this when you attend class. And the beauty of this is that your coupons never expire.

Favourite Blogger of the month

There are so many talented bloggers out there and every day, I spend 10 minutes either reading a post or listening to a vlog. I usually do this over breakfast or if my am is rushed, then during lunch. I thought it only right to add this feature to my monthly favs. My fav blogger for this month is Riona from Crazy Rio. This dynamic woman has made such an impact in my life.  Being a wife and mother of 3, I honestly don’t know how she does it all and still keeps sane. I love her energy and zest for life and she is funny and charming off camera as she is on. Her blog/vlog is one that focuses not only on health & lifestyle but she also helps promote local businesses and talents. You can find her blog here

Also catch her on her YouTube channel , Instagram & Facebook

And that’s all from me for today. Be sure to catch up with me at the end of the month, for the next round of favourites. If you are a local or even international business and would like a mention on my monthly favourites, be sure to drop me a mail on admin@inspireyou.co.za

Much Love

xoxo

  1. First off, I love the skirt! I am going to view their account as soon as I press “post comment.” My mom just purchased a fit watch from Game over the weekend for R399 which seems like such a steal. I hope it works well so I can purchase one because it seems like the best way to remind me to keep moving. Loved your post as usual and look forward to reading more.
