Nail This!

I am the type of person who will make a list before I go shopping and 9/10 times I stick to it. However, on the odd occasion, I will take a leisurely stroll through the aisles. On the rare occasion, that I did, I came across this Sorbet Nail Polish Remover in Clicks. As soon as the words Salon Pump jumped in front of my eyes, I knew..I just had to have this.

Whenever I have had my nails redone, and the nail technician would use the pump type bottle, I would always wish that I could have something like that. Beside being cute…the pump type action is so much easier to use and less messy.

There are 3 different types you can choose from. My nails are not the strongest, so I opted to purchase the Acetone Free Nourish. This is enriched with wheatgerm oil, which contains Vitamin E. This helps to improve dry and brittle nails. The Nourish and the Hydrate from this Sorbet range can only be used to remove normal nail polish. Whereas the Harden, which is the redish pink in color contains acetone and can remove artificial nails, overlays and gel nail polish. Available @ clicks for R39.95 for a 250ml bottle.

Essence Express Dry Spray

Some people have such patience when doing their nails. Unfortunately, I’m not one of them. I want to paint them and I want them to dry immediately. To my utter frustration, I always end up smudging them before their completely dry. So you can imagine my delight, when I heard about the essence express dry spray, which claims to dry your wet nails in seconds and give them an extra shine

What you basically have to do is paint your nails as usual, wait 30 seconds, give nails a spray with the express spray and your nail polish will allegedly dry super fast. So the question on everyones mind is, does it actually work? well the answer is yes and no. It did dry my nails, but not in seconds like it claims, you do have to wait a bit longer, however it did leave my nails with a pretty shine. So would I purchase it again. Personally, No, I wouldn’t. I don’t like the chemical kind of smell that it has.  Chokes me up abit.

If anyone has any (cruelty free) reccomendations to speed up my nail beautifying experiencing, please drop me a comment below. I would love to hear from you.

For now, have a lovely evening and we shall chat soon

  1. I have the sober nail polish remover for hard nails, my S. O actually found it for me when I needed to take my acrylic nails off. I love the pump mechanism because I often spill it all over and the smell of the remover is better than most others. I would like to try the spray out though. Great post!

  2. I love these products! I have been using the Sorbet nail polish remover for quite a while now and I don’t see myself going back to any other brand. The pump action is so fun to use and the bottle size makes it last longer. Thanks for sharing the Essence Dry spray, I definitely need to gibe this a try now, xx
