Green is for Go

Yes, its another green Monday! As you all know, I have developed a slight (good) addiction to green smoothies. I always feel so energetic and full of life whenever I have one and they are just so good for you.

I’m not someone who follows recipes very well, I generally like to throw things together and hope for the best. Sometimes, things flop hopelessly (think healthy blueberry pancakes) and sometimes I end up creating something so yummy, that I just have to mentally pat myself on the back and remind myself how awesome and talented I am. Hahahaha!

So a few days ago, I had one of those days. I made a green smoothie that I absolutely am in love with. Curious yet, to know what’s in it? Ok, here goes:



Handful of kale

1 Banana

1 Medjool Date


Almond Flakes

1 Tablespoon of Cinnamon Powder

Low Fat Plain Yoghurt

Soya Milk



Solid Ingredients first,  then liquid and blend. If you feel its too thick, you can add some water or more soya milk. It’s got a nice sweet taste, so there’s no need to add any honey.
