Goodness for your hair

I’ve never really taken an interest in what I use on my hair. The main reason for this is because, irrespective I still have to wash it every two days due to oily roots. You can read about my quick fix for that problem here. And well, the other reason which I mention on a regular basis, is that I am quite green when it comes to hair and beauty.

A friend of mine introduced me to a brand called Hask. I’d honestly never heard of them before, so I did a quick snoop on google to see what they were about and wow, was I quite impressed.

First and foremost, there is no testing on animals from this brand! As always, when I hear this, my heart immediately becomes happy. Something even more impressive was that Hask Shampoos and Conditioners are free from sulphates, parabens, drying alcohols, phthalates, gluten and artificial colors. And…. wait for it….it’s very reasonably priced and can be found at Clicks stores.

I opted to try the Argan Oil Range which is a Repairing Shampoo and Conditioner

Now, if you didn’t know this (and yes, I didn’t know this), Argan Oil is known as “liquid gold”. Sounds rich and exotic, I must say and apparently it’s a precious beauty secret that stems from Morocco. Rich in vitamins and antioxidants, it’s meant to repair, strengthen and moisturize hair while at the same time, taming your frizz and giving your locks a beautiful shine.

So what’s the verdict?

This range has a slight citrusy smell, which I love. I love fresh fragrances. The shampoo foams very nicely and makes my hair feel quite clean afterwards. Initially I wasn’t too thrilled with the conditioner. It was so light on my hair, that I thought I applied to little.

The end result though, impressed me so much. I didn’t have a wide toothed comb to detangle my wet hair, so I just used my fingers and blow dried my hair. My hair was tangle free and soft and set so beautifully.

Hask is my new favorite hair product for sure and I look forward to trying their shine oils and deep conditioners in the future
