Sexy Me Series (Part 1)

Hello beautiful people

Over the next few weeks, I’m going to be blogging about my weight loss journey, and how I continue to maintain a healthy and fit lifestyle and hopefully inspire you to take your health and wellness seriously.

Like I have previously mentioned, I will not give you advice on something that I have not tried or tested as that is unfair to you. However, you should also note that whatever I mention that has worked for me, may not work for you. We are all different and that’s what makes us so unique and beautiful in our own right.

I am not fat….yes, this is a true story I’m not. I am however a tad pudgy around the edges and because I’m a mere 1.52, any little extra fat makes me look like a house. I have decided to make my health quite high up on my priority list. I’m not someone who loves to diet. I believe in eating healthy and exercising to maintain a beautiful shape.  I know I’m not the first woman to be a bit disgruntled about her figure and I certainly wouldn’t be the last. I have decided to document my weight loss journey and hopefully inspire you to take your health and wellness seriously. We are only given one body and we need to ensure that it stays fit and healthy for the rest of our lives.

I started being a regular at the gym last November but alas, come the New Year and I hadn’t lost much weight. Why, O why I cried at the scale and the answer is quite simple… you can exercise as much as you want but if you’re still stuffing your face with unhealthy fatty foods, then don’t expect to see much change. So then I started eating less and yes I did lose weight but this was short lived. Living on coffee and salads will not only exhaust you but will eventually slow down your metabolism.

So come June and I’m slimmer than a few months ago, still a tad pudgy around my tummy though but I have a crappy diet. Also, I really want to tone but quite honestly, I finally came to the realisation that quite frankly I don’t know what I’m doing. There’s no structure to my workouts and no specific targeting of different muscles…I just worked out.

I’m not one to feel sorry for myself. So I sat down, did some research on exercising and eating healthy and put together a plan. In the next few weeks, there will be posts detailing what I am doing to banish those love handles, tone my tummy and how I eat clean to keep my metabolism up. Yes, there will be days where things don’t work out as planned but realise that this is life, you’re not meant to live it perfectly, but you owe it to yourself to be the best that you can be and to always strive to achieve more in life

  1. So looking forward to this series as I’m also on the short side and it’s exactly as you say – a little extra weight looks like a lot on us vertically challenged people. I’ll hopefully also join in on the health and fitness journey soon!
